I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
